The initial comprehensive evaluation is 90 minutes. Follow-up appointments can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
Yes, psychiatrists can do therapy. We are trained in therapy, medication management, and other treatments. Goodwin Medical Associates provides therapy alone or in addition to medication management, depending on the patient’s needs.
Dr. Goodwin can prescribe medication if it is indicated, but does offer a variety of non-medication interventions. She does have a significant amount of patients in treatment primarily for therapy.
The consultation is not refundable, but does get credited to your first appointment when you book a comprehensive assessment.
